Our innovative program helps you finish your ministry degree quickly and without student loans.

My name is Paul Heier.  I’ve been a missionary for the last several years.  My background is as a pastor, Bible college professor, and administrator.  Dr. Roberto Sanchez asked me to design an innovative program for ministry leaders who have limited time and limited financial resources.  Together, Dr. Sanchez and I have created the executive program for busy Christian leaders.  Please feel free to email me here or visit my ministry page here.  As the honorary dean for innovative ministry learning, I’d be honored to chat with you.  Most of the year, I’m in Guatemala working on my missions projects but we can work together via the internet to get you started!  Information on the program is below.  You can also email Dr. Sanchez here.

Information on our innovative Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate degrees

Our programs are not based on classes–they are based on developing competencies in certain ministry knowledge and skills. We use all kinds of classes (from YouTube to traditional books) to help you develop competencies in deficient areas and we also help you look back at what you’ve already learned and experienced to evaluate its usefulness in your current ministry. This translates into a much more exciting experience which is less expensive. You won’t feel like you’re wasting your time or your investment. Every degree is divided into the following components:

foundation: what you already know and have already learned (Why repeat the same things over and over again when you already know it?)
fulfillment: what you have already done such as ministry experiences (Why make you take an internship when you’ve already done it?)
fidelity: biblical studies and theology courses to make sure you are confident in the Word (How can you teach others if you’re not sure about what the Bible means?)
flourish: developing a plan for your ministry including mission statement, vision statement, prayer base, fund raising goals, development of social media and web-page, as well as email communications with those who will walk with you (What will you actually do and how will you actually do it?)
fortification: mentoring you to help you grow in Christ and helping you develop a mentoring plan for others in your ministry (Didn’t Jesus teach us about discipleship?)
final project: we put it all together to help you evaluate where you’re at and where you’re going in your ministry (Isn’t it refreshing that you can finally have a good look at your life as a Christian servant-leader and figure out how to move forward?)

Purpose:  Our ministry degrees are designed for you to develop the skills to evaluate your calling, put ideas into practice, and communicate those ideas in the modern world in which we live.  Our degrees are solely for Christian vocational ministry (you won’t get a job at Harvard or Princeton, but you will learn to be a more effective biblically based leader):

Bachelor of Ministry (120 units)

Master of Ministry (accelerated one year program – 36 units)

Doctor of Ministry for Ministers/Christian Leaders/Scholars (accelerated one-year program-60 units)*

*May be 36 units if you have a 60+ hour master’s degree or if you have more than twenty years of verifiable ministry experience.

Approximate costs are $105 per unit of credit for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level units. All our programs are bilingual (Spanish – English)

You must have self-discipline and be able to work independently.

You must be bilingual or Spanish speaking native.

Thanks!!!

We are not accredited by any governmental organization or body and have no plans to pursue accreditation. Our degrees are designed to help you become a better servant-leader and we don’t think spending the money to pay accreditation consultants (and then tripling your tuition) really serves our purposes. Our degrees are designed to help you fulfill your God-given calling.

Bachelor in Ministry

1.  Document an evaluate your ministry experience
-Leaders with previous ministry experience can finish this degree in three years.
-These studies are based on being competent in key areas rather than sitting in class for a set number of hours.
-30 units of internship in your church or ministry (year one or may be from previous experience)
-Your pastor or church supervisor puts you to work in the church/ministry
-Every week you are evaluated by them. Evaluations are forwarded to your guiding professor
-Internships last for two years (you may change ministries, but you have to be heavily involved for two years)
-Every month you make a short, but excellent video (less than 10 minutes) explaining what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how it could be better)
2.  Document  and increase your Biblical Knowledge
-30 units of Bible studies/projects (can be completed in a separate year or combined with another year)
-You study authorship, audience, purpose, and reason for writing of every book of the Bible (introduction)
-You make a video of you explaining the introduction of each biblical book and then a video of you teaching what you consider the main two passages of each Bible book. You must read the entire Bible during this phase. You do not have to be teaching in front of others (but you can). You must, however, make a short video of the introduction (less than 10 minutes), plus the main passage of each Bible book (10 minutes) and one other passage that you consider important (10 minute). We will recommend specific commentaries for you as you study. We highly recommend spending significant time in the Word in order to do a great job on these assignments.

3.  Develop Your Ministry and Specialization and Put It Into Practice

30 units of Ministry Specialization (specialties are things like pastoral ministry, biblical counseling, missions, evangelism, Christian education, leadership, others available on request) (this is a foundation year for your specialty)
Your guiding professor will work with you to select 10 books about your ministry specialization. Sometimes articles and videos are substituted for certain books. You will produce a short video on each book reviewing it. You will also write a blog-style review of each book stating what you found helpful, what you think merits further study, and what else you would like to know about the subject.30 units of Ministry Leadership studies/projects (Should be the last year of your program)
